The 17^th Annual Conference of HKSTAM 2013 in conjunction with the 9^th Jiangsu–Hong Kong Forum on Mechanics and Its Application and the 3^rd Symposium on the Development of Mechanics in Macau will be held during March 15-16, 2013 in City University of Hong Kong and University of Macau.  This conference is co-organized by the Hong Kong Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (HKSTAM), the Jiangsu Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (JSTAM), City University of Hong Kong and University of Macau.  The conference topics cover mechanics and its application in all science and engineering disciplines.

The conference includes two sessions: half-day session in Hong Kong on 15 March and a full day session in Macau on 16 March.  The technical sessions will include four invited distinguished lectures (plenary lectures on solids and fluids, 40 minutes for each lecture) and parallel sessions (in parallel sessions, 15 minutes for each talk).  The due date of submitting one A4-page extended abstract in MS word file to Dr. Paul LAM, the Secretary of HKSTAM, is February 15, 2013.  The abstract must include title, authors, affiliations and email address.  An abstract template is attached for your reference. 

Pre-registration with the attached registration form is required.  Please send the extended abstract and the completed registration form to Dr. Paul LAM at paullam@cityu.edu.hk.

Registration Fee:

For all participants: HK$1800/head (covering lunch, coffee break and dinner on March 16, 2013 and one-way ferry ticket to Macau on 15 March 2013). The fee is payable in cash on-site at the conference.
